The couple first crossed paths in 2015, when the Rare Beauty founder tapped Blanco for a few tracks on her second studio album, Revival. Things stayed platonic—and strictly business—for quite some time, with the Open Wide author coming in and out of Gomez's life for years. Then, in December 2023, it all went down. Following rumors that things had turned romantic for Belena, Gomez came clean and confirmed they were indeed dating. Since that fateful day, the pair can't seem to get enough of each other; at every turn, it feels like one is gushing about the other or sharing steamy couple pics. Gomez and Blanco's first get-together was strictly business, as they collaborated on her songs "Kill Em With Kindness" and "Same Old Love."

March 2019: They star in a music video together.

Four years went by, and Gomez and Blanco's relationship remained platonic. They collaborated again on the song "I Can't Get Enough," along with Tainy and J Balvin, and both starred in the music video, which sees Gomez clad in pale pink pajamas and Blanco in a white teddy bear suit.

August 25, 2023: Selena Gomez taps Benny Blanco again for "Single Soon."

Another four years passed and Gomez and Blanco maintained their professional relationship. This time, Gomez tapped Blanco for her song "Single Soon."

October 4, 2023: Benny Blanco attends the Rare Beauty Impact Fund Benefit.

Blanco showed the singer support by attending the Rare Impact Fund Benefit Supporting Youth Mental Health in Los Angeles. They were photographed separately.

December 7, 2023: Selena Gomez confirms her relationship with Benny Blanco.

After romance rumors started to circulate online, Gomez confirmed she and Blanco are indeed an item by interacting with several speculative posts. As covered by Popcrave, Selena commented on a fan post that showed the pair together, "He is my absolute everything in my heart." Additionally, she replied to a fan, "then why has he been the best thing that's ever happened to me. The end." She kept the comments coming, adding to another response, "lol yeah and he's still better than anyone I've ever been with. Facts."

A couple days earlier, People reported Gomez also replied in the comments of a post featuring an image with the text "Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is In a Relationship" with "Facts."

December 15, 2023: Selena Gomez posts a steamy makeout photo with Benny Blanco.

Gomez shared a slideshow of some sweet recent moments, which included a black-and-white photo of herself and Blanco getting hot and heavy. In the snap, the pair locks lips as Gomez lays on Blanco with one of her hands in his hair, while he sits on a couch and holds her. Another slide shows the music producer hugging the singer from the back while she smiles wide.

"New York, my favorite moments w you this week," she captioned the post.

December 31, 2023: They ring in 2024.

Gomez closed out 2023 and welcomed the new year surrounded by love—specifically, the love of her new boo. She took to Instagram to share a smiley snap of the two, in which Blanco embraced her from behind while kissing her neck.

January 3, 2024: They make their public debut.

Gomez and Blanco made their first public appearance as a couple at a Lakers vs. Heat game, at which they showed off their not-so-coordinated couple's style and packed on the PDA. Photos from the night show the pair laughing, smiling, chatting, and cuddling, with Gomez opting for a dark color palette in a black leather trench with white accents layered over a black T-shirt, paired with black velvet pants and silver metallic boots, and Blanco clad in a quirky orange and pink floral printed puffer coat, white T-shirt, matching jeans, and white clogs.

January 7, 2024: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco make out at the Golden Globes.

On the heels of their couple's debut, Gomez and Blanco brought their romance to awards season. Although they walked the red carpet separately, the singer made sure her Instagram followers knew they spent plenty of time together backstage. Gomez posted a photo of Blanco hugging her from behind and kissing her neck and another of them gazing lovingly into each other's eyes as they both leaned in for a kiss.

A few days later, they put their love in the spotlight at the Emmy Awards, during which they cuddled while sitting next to each other at the ceremony, as reported by People.

February 12, 2024: Selena Gomez posts more loved-up photos with Benny Blanco.

You know things are serious once you get a whole Instagram post dedicated to you. And on an unassuming Monday in February, Gomez decided it was really Blanco's time to shine. She took to the social media platform to share a carousel of images of the two looking so loved-up.

Things started out innocent in the cover slide, which shows a smiley Gomez leaning on Blanco from behind as he forms meatballs, before they got hot and bothered. A second photo shows the singer sitting on Blanco's lap as he grabs her breast with his hand and kisses her shoulder. Another snap, taken on the same day, shows Blanco dressed in a beige suit with his arm around Gomez, as she closes her eyes and sticks her tongue out, dressed in a plunging champagne-colored dress and wool overcoat.

February 14, 2024: Selena Gomez declares her love for Benny Blanco.

Gomez was feeling the love on Valentine's Day, her first with Blanco as a couple. She commemorated the day with a sweet Instagram tribute, in which she shared a snap of the two of them throwing up peace sings with the caption, "I love you," along with a white heart.

February 22, 2024: Selena Gomez says she feels "safest" with Benny Blanco.

Gomez gushed about Blanco in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1's New Music Daily. She revealed her relationship with Blanco is the "safest" she has ever felt with a partner.

“Without getting into too much detail, I think it's just really important to meet someone that respects you,” she said. “And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel and it's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome.”

March 8: Selena Gomez posts a sweet birthday tribute for Benny Blanco.

Gomez made sure Blanco felt special on his big day. She commemorated her man turning the big three-six with an adorable Instagram tribute that included photos of them snuggling in bed, hugging at the beach, and sharing a sweet kiss, as well as some candid videos of themselves enjoying each other's company.

"Happy birthday baby! Your emotional endurance, positive disposition, unbelievable talent (that blows me away), undeniable humor and loving, kind heart absolutely kill me. I love you @itsbennyblanco 🎂🥹," she captioned the post.

April 5, 2023: A source shares Selena Gomez's inner circle loves Benny Blanco.

Blanco received a stamp of approval from Gomez's family and friends. A source close to the singer told Entertainment Tonight that her "friends and family love Benny [Blanco] and his loved ones feel the same about her" and "everyone can see that they have a loving relationship and both sides couldn't be more encouraging."

"Selena trusts him more than any other past romantic partner in her life," the source added. "They are very respectful of one another and their relationship is growing in positive ways."

The source also revealed they are each other's cheerleaders and are looking at their romance long term. "They speak their minds, appreciate each other's art, and lift each other up. They both see a positive future together and have a desire to continue to move forward and have their relationship thrive."

April 22, 2024: They enjoy another court side date.

Basketball date nights are starting to become a regular thing for the sweetheart couple, as they enjoyed a second one, this time sitting court side at a Phildelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. They once again looked smitten and adorably uncoordinated, with Gomez in a cherry red leather trench coat layered over a black midi dress and paired with glossy black crocodile-embossed leather boots, and Blanco in playful purple floral pants, an ivory short sleeve button down shirt, and chocolate brown loafers.

April 30, 2024: Selena Gomez supports Benny Blanco's book launch.

Gomez was every inch the supportive girlfriend when Blanco launched his cookbook, Open Wide. The couple celebrated his milestone with sweet embraces and a big cake that was made to look like the book's cover, which Gomez shared photos of to her Instagram. “So proud of @itsbennyblanco - Open Wide is out now!!" she wrote in the caption.
