See Why Bobby Brown Was Kicked Out of The New Edition
On The New Edition Story: Part One, we watched the New Edition boys turn into men. But in Part 2, manhood brings a whole new set of problems, and Bobby Brown is problem No. 1.
Throughout the episode, Brown is at odds with his manager and fellow bandmates due to an inflated ego. It appears there might be a calm moment after his girlfriend gives birth, to a son, but it turns out fatherhood can’t slow Bobby down. Instead it’s just the beginning of his downward spiral, as he starts using cocaine and having sex with other women.
Things come to a head at a show where Bobby just won’t give up the spotlight, forcing his bandmates to take it from him, sending Bobby into a rage. Busting out from backstage in a silky bathrobe, he snatches the microphone back, and he and his bandmates come to blows.
WIth the band on the line, the New Edition takes a vote and decides Bobby is bad for business.
The New Edition Story: Part Three airs Thursday, Jan. 26, on BET at 9 p.m.
