Here's when you can see Taylor Swift's Netflix documentary Miss Americana

Taylor Swift‘s documentary Miss Americana is set to hit Netflix on January 31. The wide release of the Lana Wilson-directed title will follow its big Sundance Film Festival debut in Park City, Utah on Jan. 23.

The long-awaited release will give viewers a “raw and emotionally revealing look” at the international superstar “during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice,” according to a press release.

Swift first announced a documentary was in the works in November while discussing her ongoing feud with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta, who own the rights to the singer’s old music masters. She claimed the pair had “declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or [Braun’s label] Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.”

Big Machine Records publicly stated they were not blocking Swift from using her old music in the documentary, nor during her American Music Award performance where she was honored as their Artist of the Decade. Everything worked out for Swift at the ceremony, and Big Machine Records has publicly stated they have cleared the use of her music for the documentary.
