See All the Sweetest “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants ”Cast Reunions From Over the Years

America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn have been true-blue besties since they shared denim on set in 2005

Jeans fade, but this sisterhood is forever.

America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively and Amber Tamblyn have loved each other like a real family since they met on set of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005. They've continuously celebrated each other as actresses, moms and activists, singing each other's praises at every given opportunity.

While they may not share any magical pairs of denim, these four stars — who also costarred in the Sisterhood sequel in 2008 — are bonded for life. See photos of some of their sweet, nostalgic reunions over the years.

From Denim Blue to Barbie Pink

The "sisterhood" showed up in full to support Ferrera's role in Barbie at a special screening in New York City, and Lively, Tamblyn and Bledel embraced the movie's pink overload with their colorful attire.

In honor of their latest reunion, Lively — who was 16 when she played Bridget in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies — celebrated her "denim sister" Ferrera (who stars as Carmen in the coming-of-age, Y2K-era flicks) with an Instagram post from their memorable night out. The Gossip Girl alumna praised her pal's performance in the summer Blockbuster and even refenced a line from Ann Brashares' book series that inspired the movies.

"Pants = Love. Love your sisters. Love yourself," Lively quoted in her caption.

Like Siblings

Tamblyn, who played Tibby in the 2005 film, also paid tribute to her "sisters" on social media, sharing a number of selfies and sweet moments with her former costars. Tamblyn even detailed how the quartet prepped for their girls night.

"We got ready together, picked out outfits and jewelry and handbags together (aka raided Blake’s closet), ate dinners together, and drove together to celebrate our favorite sister, @americaferrera and her brilliant performance in Barbie," Tamblyn wrote alongside her Instagram post.

Bonded for Life

In 2018, Bledel — who played Lena in the movies — teased a possible third Sisterhood movie in the works.

The Handmaid's Tale star spoke highly of her friends during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, saying, “We don’t get to see each other a lot because everybody’s work or family and everything, but when everybody is in town we do, and we just pitched a third movie and I hope it comes together. It would be so great.”

Arm-in-Arm

In 2016, Lively reflected on her close, lasting bond with the girls, whom she's considered her "friends and mentors" since they met on set.

“What they do – whether artistically, politically, socially, personally – they really use their voice,” Lively told PEOPLE. “And whether people agree with their voice or not is not the thing that I’m most concerned with as much as, it’s nice to see women who are not only empowering themselves but empowering other women to stand up and to really fight and work for what they believe in.”

Girl Power

In 2017, Tamblyn, Lively and Ferrera stood up in sisterly solidarity to participate in women's marches in two different cities. Ferrera saw Tamblyn in Washington, D.C., and then Lively connected with her pink hat-wearing pal in N.Y.C.

Growing Up Together

Just like their characters, the actresses are there for each other during some of life's biggest milestone moments. In 2018, they gathered in anticipation of the next generation when Ferrera was expecting her first child.

Even though they've grown into superstars and mothers, the longtime friends still know how to goof off, like in this Instagram collage posted by Ferrera in 2016.

Quality Time

Even when all four aren't available, the BFFs will take any opportunity to spend time together. Lively and Tamblyn partnered up to celebrate the Fourth of July in 2021, and they posted a smiley selfie to commemorate the holiday occasion.

"Life is short. Celebrate with the ones you love and who love you in return," Tamblyn wrote in her Instagram caption. "That's it. That's the post. #4thofjuly."

Selfie Stars

They might be major Hollywood names, but the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants stars keep in touch just like any other friend group — with a group chat. Ferrera shared how they communicated on a 2019 episode of Busy Philipps' former talk show Busy Tonight.

“We have a text thread. Breaking news! There is a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants text thread,” Ferrera revealed. “I go to them for everything.”

Endless Support

Nearly a decade before she played Gloria in Barbie, Ferrera was feeling the sisterly support from Lively, Bledel and Tamblyn when she starred in the 2014 revival of Lips Together, Teeth Apart. The stage star posted a selfie snapped by her friends at the show, writing, "Look who dropped by my matinee today and made my day! #MySisterhood ! Love these women and the support they constantly show."
