Feeling lucky! Nicola Coughlan, Lindsay Lohan, Prince William and Princess Kate are among the stars who celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in March 2023. “Happy tell an Irish person you love them and think they’re perfect day!!!” Coughlan, 36, wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a selfie with a bearded leprechaun filter. The Bridgerton star was born in Galway, Ireland and grew up in the nearby town of Oranmore. “I’m definitely a Galway girl. I sometimes lie and tell people Ed Sheeran wrote the song about me. And sometimes they believe me and then it gets really awkward,” she quipped during a December 2020 interview for the YouTube channel Still Watching Netflix, referring to the 32-year-old musician’s 2017 collaboration with Irish folk band Beoga. Lohan, 36, for her part, was born in New York City but has Irish roots. The Mean Girls star celebrated the holiday with a festive bowl of green veggies. “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!” she wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a snap of the verdant meal. The Parent Trap actress is set to portray a bridesmaid at a wedding held in Ireland in the forthcoming Netflix film Irish Wish. A release date has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, across the pond, William, 40, and Kate, 41, joined the Irish guards for their annual celebration in Aldershot, England. The Princess of Wales donned a teal Catherine Walker & Co. coat dress, a matching hat and heels and a shamrock brooch for the occasion. The royal couple handed out shamrocks to soldiers and one Irish wolfhound, per ABC News. Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended their first St. Patrick’s Day Parade since the COVID-19 pandemic began. “Happy #StPatricksDay wherever in the world you’re celebrating today!” the pair wrote via Twitter at the time. One year prior, William and Kate fondly recalled their visit to the Emerald Isle just before the Coronavirus lockdown in March 2020. “We’re delighted to wish you all a very happy St. Patrick’s Day,” Kate said in a March 2021 video, before her husband added, “We were so thrilled to be able to visit Ireland just over a year ago, a few short weeks before all of our lives were turned upside down by the pandemic.” The duchess continued: “The warm welcome we received everywhere was a testament to the friendship between our two countries, and the strength of the relationship between the U.K. and Ireland.”Sign up for Us Weekly's free, daily newsletter and never miss breaking news or exclusive stories about your favorite celebrities, TV shows and more!
