When Sesame Street kicks off its 46th season on HBO on Jan. 16, things are going to look a little bit different around television’s most famous street. Fortunately, one thing that isn’t going to change is the show’s colorful cast of Muppets, the celebrity guest stars, and occasional parodies of pop culture favorites. Click through this slideshow for sneak peeks of Season 46, including a look at the show’s upcoming parody of Netflix’s hit prison series, Orange Is the New Black, called — appropriately enough — Orange Is the New Snack. It’s a spoof that’s long overdue, considering that OITNB is filmed nearby Sesame Street and the show’s stars — Taylor Schilling and Uzo Aduba — have previously told us who their Sesame Street doppelgangers would be. Since this is the second Netflix series Sesame Street has parodied, that means it’s only a matter of time until we see Marvel’s DareElmo or Sesame8. Let’s make those happen by Season 48, people.
Season 46 of Sesame Street aires Saturdays at 9 a.m. on HBO.
