See Nathan Fielder’s Dangerous Stunt for ‘Nathan for You’ Finale
On the season finale of Nathan for You, Nathan Fielder sought to turn a regular joe into a hero. Corey Calderwood’s life could be considered bland. He lives with his parents and works at an arcade part-time. But Nathan set up a stunt for Corey to walk a tightrope between two buildings for charity in order to elevate Corey’s existence. The catch? Nathan would be taking over Corey’s life completely leading up to the event and would carry out the stunt himself in disguise as Corey.
After shipping Corey to the desert so there wouldn’t be two Coreys, Nathan went all out in taking over Corey’s life, including learning his mannerisms, getting a 3D scan of his face for a prosthetic, and even going on date as Corey. But there was also one tiny, tiny detail that Nathan needed to address: He had to learn how to walk a wire. So he trained with professionals for seven months leading up to the finale.
When the moment of truth arrived, Nathan delivered on his promise and made Corey a hero. But after walking in another man’s skin for so long, Nathan faced the cold reality that he would never receive recognition for his actions.
