See Julianne Moore, Helen Mirren, and Other Stars Go Makeup-Free for Pirelli
The 2017 Pirelli Calendar debuted in Paris this morning with 14 of the most celebrated actresses, and they all look absolutely stunning.
Famed photographer Peter Lindbergh took a different approach for this year’s edition, as he has chosen the title “Emotional.” In a bold statement, pictures of A-list stars including Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Uma Thurman, and Nicole Kidman were left complete unretouched.
“My aim was to portray women in a different way,” Lindbergh said. “As an artist, I feel I’m responsible for freeing women from the idea of eternal youth and perfection. The ideal of perfect beauty promoted by society is something that simply can’t be attained.”
Oscar winner Kate Winslet is celebrating life at age 40. The lovely actress enjoyed the liberty of just being herself on set, stripped back and all natural.
This year’s black-and-white edition makes it the calendar’s 44th release. There are a total of 40 images — from Alicia Vikander, who looked glamorous in a trench coat, to Robin Wright, who rocked a little black number.

Others in the bevy of beauties who appear unretouched for the calendar are Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Charlotte Rampling, Rooney Mara, Lupita Nyong’o, Lea Seydoux, and Zhang Ziyi.
