STXfilms Owen Wilson and Jennifer Lopez in 'Mary Me'

Marry Me might've postponed the date of its big screen nuptials, but Jennifer Lopez is whetting our appetite for her rom-com return with a series of sweet first-look photos from the upcoming film.

One day after Universal announced the Kat Coiro-directed movie's theatrical release date was pushed back three months to May 14, 2021, the Golden Globe-nominated actress shared two stills teasing her role as a pop superstar who finds love in an unexpected place.

The first photo shows Lopez in character as Latin singer Kat Valdez as she rehearses with a group of dancers, while the second shows her cozying up to an intimate dinner with costar Owen Wilson.

The film follows Valdez after her playboy parter Bastian (played by recording artist Maluma in his feature film debut) blindsides her with an affair during a joint concert. Valdez adapts in the moment and pulls a major publicity stunt and selects an unwitting audience member — Wilson's Charlie, a divorced high school math teacher — to marry instead.

In addition to starring in the film, Lopez and Maluma also collaborated on its companion soundtrack album, with the pair dropping a preview in the form of a two-part music video for singles "Pa Ti'" and "Lonely" earlier this year.

Based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby, Marry Me was written by John Rogers (The Librarians), Tami Sagher (30 Rock), and Harper Dill (The Mick), and also stars Sarah Silverman. See Lopez's first-look photos from the movie above.
