Fans of The Voice will remember well how, in season 4, Tay Beckham – only 17 years old at the time – wowed the crowd and the judges with her passionate rendition of “I’m Goin’ Down” by Mary J. Blige. Impressed by Beckham’s soulful vocals, coach Usher successfully fought to beat out fellow coach Shakira to win the young star for his team. Now, Beckham is ready to launch her solo career with the debut EP, Love Hard.
Yahoo Music is excited to premiere her very first video for first single “Excuses,” for fans to get a taste of her ‘90s R&B-influenced sound.
“I’m so excited about officially becoming a solo artist and starting my career off with my very first music video. It’s quite an exciting time for me,” says Beckham.
