Rising pop star Tara Macri has an impressive artistic background – her lifelong passion for performance led her to Broadway and off-Broadway, where she starred in productions such as Hairspray and the new First Wives Club. She’s now ready to show off her pop chops with the single “Prettiest Girl in the Room.” This brand new, power-pop single is in the same vein as Colbie Caillat, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and A Fine Frenzy.
“The single is as much as a girl anthem as it is about blowing up the princess myth,” says Macri. “This song is about when you have a bad day and you have that person you can call - they keep you grounded and help you be your best self! I hope that anyone listening to the song can use it as a source of empowerment to accomplish whatever they set out to do.” Macri collaborated with producer Greg Collins (U2, Gwen Stefani) and the track was mixed by multi-Grammy-award winner Chris Lord Alge.
