See It First: Jordin Sparks Drops Video for Instagram Anthem ‘Double Tap’

Jordin Sparks has picked up a lot of steam for her mixtape, #ByeFelicia, and things will intensify with the release of her latest hot and sexy video, “Double Tap,” that premieres exclusively on Yahoo Music.

In the video for the song featuring 2 Chainz, Sparks floods her Instagram account with irresistible selfies that tempt a not-so-secret admirer to like them. Watch the video to see if he is able to resist her challenge.

Sparks says the Instagram anthem can be interpreted a few different ways. “For me in the song, the girl is talking to the guy saying, ‘I know you stalk my page. I know you look at the photos. I know that you don’t like them. I bet you’re not going to like that picture, but I know you like me,’” she told Yahoo Music during a recent interview.

That’s just one point of view for the song. “But then you can take it another way as well, like you’re in a relationship with someone,” she explains. “Say we’re sitting next to each other. Say we’re together, right? I’m scrolling through my phone, and I hover over a picture of a really hot guy, and you’re like, ‘I know you’re not about to tap that picture. I know you’re not about to double-tap that picture in front of me.’”

The song also addresses anonymous Instagram stalkers. “You can take it as when you’re looking and you’re at 23 weeks ago on their page and you accidentally double-tap it and you’re scared like, ‘Crap. Now they know that I was looking through all of their pictures.’”

So which category do you fall in? Are you reluctant to like photos of your crushes, are you in a relationship but still double-tap photos of the opposite sex, or do you do your Instagram creeping on the down-low?

Singed to Salaam Remi’s Louder Than Life Sony imprint, the Season 6 American Idol winner is also prepping an album, Right Here, Right Now, her first since 2009’s Battlefield.
