See It First: Act of Defiance Debuts Hard-Hitting ‘Legion of Lies’
In a time of endless sub-genre classifications, Act of Defiance has a simple recipe: Creating 100% in-your-face, uncompromising heavy metal. The band’s highly anticipated debut, Birth and the Burial, is set for release August 21.

The band’s guitar virtuoso, Chris Broderick, formerly of Megadeth, had this to say about the song: “In my opinion, it is one of the best written, most concise songs on Birth and the Burial. It has an aggressive upbeat triplet feel and a very dark harmony about it that I think people will dig. The break-down to the solo has a contrapuntal theme that maintains that dark mood leading into the solo, which is a PIA to play and should keep guitar aficionados happy!”
