She’s effortlessly cool and the kind of star whose style you always want to copy, so of course we all want to tour Jenna Dewan’s home. Blame it on our inner voyeur. Blame it on the fact that we’ve always wondered how her interior design might reflect her laidback, modern bohemian vibe. But either way, join us in being perhaps overly excited about the fact the Flirty Dancing host is inviting us all inside the chic new LA digs she shares with boyfriend Steve Kazee, daughter Everly and, soon, the couple’s first child together.
As Dewan explained on Instagram, the family just moved into the house (hooray for cohabiting!) and needed to furnish it ASAP. So, she teamed up with designer Erin Fetherston and AllModern, an e-tailer for modern furniture that offers free — and typically fast —shipping. The end result? A space that, ahem, marries both of their styles. “Steve likes a more minimalistic look and has amazing taste. I tend to go more feminine and mystical in my tastes,” Dewan revealed, adding of the new home, “But we easily found a happy medium.”

According to Fetherston, who wielded her design magic with AllModern furnishings, creating a harmonious space for the blended family was a matter of understanding both the flow of the home and how they planned to use it. “In Jenna’s case, they wanted the home to be as cozy as possible, so I wanted to create areas throughout the home to foster intimacy and togetherness,” the interior designer shared.

Indoor Living Areas
The living room’s green velvet couch and extra-large coffee table are Dewan’s favorite pieces in this area, which happens to be the place she and her family spend the majority of their time in the house together. When asked about how being a mom informs her style, Dewan gave a little insight into this family-friendly space, citing as must-haves, “A great couch to lay on with the kiddos as well as comfortable chairs that are also easy to clean” and “round edges on coffee tables.”
Lots of wood and pops of natural elements are a nod to the home’s plein-air aesthetic. “Jenna’s home is designed for indoor-outdoor living,” said Fetherston. “I wanted to bring the outdoors in through an earthy color palette, like the moss green velvet Bobby Berk for A.R.T. Furniture in the living room.”
Open shelving and more seating round out the living room area.
Another couch ensures everyone has a spot to hunker down and hang out.
The Dining Room
You’ll find no shortage of places for the family to sit and share a meal in Dewan’s home. here, an oversized modern wood table is given even more warmth with the addition of leather chairs and a sheepskin rug. “Sheepskin rugs always look good. It’s just a matter of finding the right spot for them,” said Fetherston.
The Master Bedroom
Texture on texture on texture! Dewan says her style can be summed up as “warm, calm, chic,” and nowhere is that more evident than the bedroom. Her favorite part? The comfy bed with built-in reading lights.
As Fetherston points out, the windows in the home give the eye “a seamless experience transitioning from inside the home to the views beyond.” And as Dewan illustrates here, they also make it easy to find a sunny nook for sitting.
Outside Living Spaces
Dewan says her most treasured time at home is spent “cuddling with family and sharing in good conversations!” An outdoor space with tons of comfortable furniture (not to mention firepits) creates the ideal atmosphere for those sweet family moments.
Can we talk bout this coffee table? It’s glorious. And, once again, this cozy vignette gives Dewan exactly what she craves: a chic space in which to spend time with her growing family.
Another dining room table outside the home lets Dewan, Kazee and the kids take advantage of cool nights eating al fresco.
Between the dusky mauve color and the nubbly texture, this throw pillow has Dewan’s name written all over it. The clean lines of the modern couch are a nice juxtaposition and perfect proof that a couple can have different tastes yet cohesive style.
