Janyce and her daughter Hope haven’t seen each other in six months. Janyce says Hope, who was born a male named Chance, came out as gay at 16 and started acting out. She says the teen started skipping school, drinking alcohol and smoking pot. Janyce says after graduation, her child started using drugs and was “spiraling out of control.” She says shortly after, Hope moved to Hollywood and shared with Janyce that she was transgender. At that point, Janyce says their relationship was nonexistent and has been rocky ever since, with most communication happening via social media.
