EW has an exclusive first look at the Queen singer in "Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate," a prequel to the new Peacock series "Megamind Rules!"

Adam Lambert is putting a little glam and rock into the already colorful world of the new Megamind movie.

EW has an exclusive first look at the Queen singer, pop star, and American Idol icon's animated role in Peacock's upcoming Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate, in which he stars as the eye-popping Machiavillain — "a former Megamind mentor who embodied all of his pupil’s villainous goals back in the day," per an official synopsis — and performs the new project's theme song.

"We're going to do this thing like it's an '80s rock concert," Lambert says in EW's exclusive preview of the role, in which he fabulously sets the stage for Machiavillain's debut as a red-suited antagonist. "The key to supervillainy is presentation!"

The Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate picks up after the events of the 2010 original, with the titular character's former villain team, the Doom Syndicate, returning, prompting him to assemble his old friends (Roxanne, Ol’ Chum, and Keiko) to halt his former teammates' plot to launch Metro City to the moon above. Megamind Rules! will then pick up as a streaming series after the events of Doom Syndicate.

In addition to Lambert, the sequel stars a voice cast including Keith Ferguson, Laura Post, Josh Brener, Maya Aoki Tuttle, Scott Adsit, and Tony Hale, among others.

Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, and Brad Pitt voiced characters in DreamWorks' 2010 animated blockbuster, which grossed just under $322 million globally upon its initial release, and further spawned two video games and a short film in later years.
