Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ attempts to get an apology go downhill quick in an exclusive clip from their new film.

The comedy legends play married couple Pete and Billie Staunton in directors Jim Rash and Nat Faxon’s Downhill, a remake of the 2014 Swedish hit Force Majuere. After Pete leaves Billie and their kids to fend for themselves during an avalanche on their vacation in the Alps, he tries to find someone else to blame, which brings them to see ski patrol supervisor Michel (Kristofer Hivju), who refuses to admit any wrongdoing.

“Snow went all over the place!” Billie says, causing Michel to slowly — and mockingly — repeat the words back to her.

Downhill doesn’t just serve as Hivju’s first major project since wrapping his six-season run as fan favorite Tormund on Game of Thrones, but also as a wink to Force Majuere fans: He starred in the original movie, albeit in a different role.

“I grew up with Seinfeld, I watched all of Will’s movies, I watched Veep, so I felt I knew them when I met them,” Hivju tells EW of his costars. “And I love the scene, it was a great addition to the story. I enjoyed playing with them a lot because if you improv and do something else, they catch the ball and hit it back at you with such a funny touch. What I really enjoyed as well was watching them play a more dramatic side of their talent. I know that both of them have done that before and are great dramatic actors, but it’s not that often you see that.”

Downhill, which also stars Zach Woods and Miranda Otto, opens Feb. 14. Watch the exclusive clip above.
