Enhypen are one of several musical acts involved in Baby Shark’s Big Movie. Along with contributing “Keep Swimmin’ Through” to the soundtrack, the group will appear in the movie as an underwater K-pop band of beluga whales. Lance Bass will also voice an underwater version of himself — a TV presenter named, well, Lance Bass. Cardi B and Offset, both of whom guested on the Baby Shark TV show, will reprise their cameo roles as Sharki B and Offshark (their two kids, Kulture and Wavey, are also set to appear as Kulture Sharki and Wavey Shark).
Befitting a movie spun off from a TV show, which was spun off of a wildly popular children’s song, Baby Shark’s Big Movie (out Dec. 8), the film will feature a music-heavy plot, centered around a nefarious aspiring pop starfish, named Stariana (voiced by Ashley Tisdale). The core voice cast from the TV show will appear in the movie, including Kimiko Glenn, Luke Youngblood, Natasha Rothwell, Eric Edelstein, Debra Wilson, and Patrick Warburton. And joining the cast are Tisdale, Aparna Nancherla, Ego Nwodim, and Chloe Fineman.
As for Enhypen, their contributions to the Baby Shark movie wrap up an extremely busy year for the group. They spent much of the spring and summer touring Asia, before launching a short North American leg in October. They also released two mini-albums: Dark Blood, the first, dropped in May, while Orange Blood, just arrived last Friday, Nov. 17.
