Here ye, here ye! Christmas is officially on the way, and we've got King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla's Christmas card to prove it.

Taking to the Royal Family Instagram page last night, Charles and Camilla unveiled their first Christmas card as King and Queen Consort, and the sweet photo used for the festive greeting has a significance to it.

"We’re pleased to share this year’s Christmas card from the King and the Queen Consort," the caption of the post read. The caption went on to credit photographer Samir Hussein, who captured the sweet snap at the Braemar Games in September. Although no specific date is given in the caption, the Braemar Games takes place on the first Saturday in September, which this year fell on the 3rd, meaning the photo was taken just five days before Queen Elizabeth II's death.

In the comments section, royal fans were quick to heap on the praise for the new King and Queen Consort, as well as their very festive photo. "So cute, love them," one person wrote alongside a love heart emoji, as another royal fan added: "I love this photo, merry Xmas to you both from NZ."

"You can see they are in love and in tune with each other," someone else commented, referencing the look of adoration between the King and Queen Consort in the photo. "Lovely photo of them," someone else wrote, with a fifth royal fan chiming in with: "King Charles and Queen Camilla are doing an awesome job and have been doing it for many years now."

Merry Christmas, eh!?
