See The Cars' Ric Ocasek's Last Doodle Before He Died
Ric Ocasek was known for his prolific contributions to the world of music, but those close to the rock star were also aware of his other artistic skills, and are sharing the last piece he created before he unexpectedly died.
Ocasek's sons, Jonathan and Oliver, posted their father's last drawing, which was found on his armchair after his death.
The boys released a statement, explaining their dad's proclivity for doodling:
"Our dad was a prolific doodler. His passing was sudden, unexpected, and beyond heartbreaking. Yesterday, we found this last doodle on his armchair. He couldn’t have known what it would end up meaning to us. We love him so much."

The Doodle
The abstract illustration is surrounded by three wise sayings, which have a much deeper meaning now that they represent the last words to his family.
"Never forget that look,” “Keep on laughin’” and “It is what it is.”
It's unclear if The Cars singer knew of his own fate, but the three sayings are extremely eerie, now that we know what transpired after they were penned.
75-year-old Ocasek died shortly after, and was discovered by his wife, Paulina Porizkova, who explained:
"I found him still asleep when bringing him his Sunday morning coffee," she continued. "I touched his cheek to rouse him. It was then I realized that during the night he had peacefully passed on. We appreciate the great outpouring of love. We, his family and friends, are completely and utterly devastated by his untimely and unexpected death and would appreciate the privacy to mourn in private."
As we reported, Ocasek died from heart disease, with emphysema as a contributing factor.
Since his death, fans have been leaving mementos outside of his NYC townhouse, including gifts of toy cars.
