EXCLUSIVE: In the wake of a sexual assault complaint filed against him, actor Sebastian Chacon has been dropped by his reps at Paradigm, and by the indie feature Red Dirt, Deadline can reveal.

Best known for his role as drummer Warren Rojas on the hit Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, Chacon remains represented, at present, by attorney Jeff Chabrowe and publicist Siri Garber of Platform PR. While Chacon had also recently been with Robert Stein Management, it’s unclear whether he will carry that working relationship forward, as Stein couldn’t be reached for comment. Deadline will update this post with a statement from him if and when it becomes available.

In a statement on their separation from Chacon, the Red Dirt team clarified that “production never formally engaged his services,” even if the actor had “expressed interest in being attached to the project.” We were first to break the news of his involvement earlier this month. “Given the recent circumstances, [production] elected to seek other talent for the role,” the team continued. “The safety and security of our cast and crew is our top priority. We stand with the survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Our thoughts and well wishes are with them.”

It was just last week that Chacon was accused of sexually assaulting three women, in a civil suit filed in New York under the Adult Survivors Act, which Deadline has reviewed. The plaintiffs, identified in the lawsuit as Jane Doe 1, Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, allege that the assaults took place in New York and L.A., between 2017 and 2022.

Jane Doe 1 alleges in the suit that “starting around the summer of 2017, Chacon, who was 24 years old, groomed Jane Doe 1, aged 16, under the guise of a romantic relationship. Then, in December 2017, Chacon encouraged Jane Doe 1 to consume multiple alcoholic beverages and then sexually assaulted her in his home while she was still underage and legally incapable of consent.”

In the case of Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, who say they were in romantic relationships with Chacon beginning in 2018 and 2022, respectively, the suit alleges that Chacon strangled them during nonconsensual sex until they lost consciousness, continuing to have sex with them thereafter.

The women claim to have attempted suicide or had suicidal thoughts following the alleged incidents and are seeking a trial by jury as well as “compensatory damages for all physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, physical and emotional pain and suffering, and other harm,” per the complaint.

In a statement on Chacon’s behalf obtained by Deadline, attorney Chabrowe noted that his client “vehemently denies these allegations” and “will fully cooperate with any investigation,” providing “any evidence necessary to prove his innocence.”

In addition to Daisy Jones, Chacon’s recent credits include Amazon’s thriller Emergency and Showtime’s Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. Prior to the release of the sexual assault complaint, he’d also wrapped roles in the horror thriller Humane with Jay Baruchel and A24’s Y2K.

A revenge tale centered on survivors of cartel violence, Red Dirt also recently set Aaron Dominguez, Melissa Fumero, Alejandro Edda, and Carlos Pratts to star. Crash Buist will direct from his script written with Jonathan Medina and Lauren Senechal, and the trio are set to produce together.
