Seaway's concert has Broadway theme

FLAT ROCK — Since it began in 1976, the Seaway Chorale and Orchestra has found audiences most enjoy its Broadway songs.

So, this year's spring concert will feature only Broadway selections. "Seaway on Stage," featuring the ensemble, soloists and a guest group, will be offered at 7:30 p.m. April 19-20 at the Flat Rock Community Auditorium at Flat Rock High School, 25600 Seneca.

“This spring, Seaway is presenting more music from the ‘Great White Way,’ both old and new,” the ensemble said in a news release. “The program will include selections from ‘Wicked,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ ‘My Fair Lady,’ ‘The Sound of Music,’ ‘Hamilton,’ ‘Guys and Dolls,’ ‘Betsy,’ ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ and the crowd-favorite ‘Les Miserables.’ You’re guaranteed to leave with at least one song in your head.”

The youth choir Voices of The Young will perform with the orchestra.
