Season 4 of Mike Epps' Indy-based 'The Upshaws' releases on Netflix Thursday

The television show that gives a double dose of Indy is back this week.

Netflix’s "The Upshaws," starring Indianapolis native Mike Epps, launches its fourth season at midnight Thursday.

The sitcom, which premiered in 2021, is set in Indianapolis, with Epps as mechanic Bennie Upshaw, who heads a Black working-class family in Naptown.

It also stars Kim Fields as Upshaw’s wife, and show co-creator Wanda Sykes as his sister-in-law.

The series’ third season was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Multi-Camera Comedy Series.
