Sean Ono Lennon gave his mom the ultimate shoutout on the Oscars stage.

The only child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Sean, 48, took the stage to accept the award for Best Animated Short Film for War Is Over!, and he got the entire star-studded audience to join him in wishing Yoko a happy Mother’s Day.

“Thank you, I just wanna quickly say, my mother turned 91 this February,” Sean said as he began his brief remarks. “And today is Mother’s Day in the U.K., so could everyone please say, Happy Mother’s Day, Yoko?”

The packed auditorium at the Dolby Theatre joined in and repeated back to him, “Happy Mother’s Day, Yoko!”

Sean was joined onstage by the animated short film’s director, Dave Mullins, and producer Brad Booker. During the trio's acceptance speech, Booker praised John and Ono's son as “amazing to work with.”

“John Lennon and Yoko Ono wrote a song that inspired us that is an anti-war message that we tried to honor with this film,” Booker said, which is inspired by the pair’s 1971 collaboration, “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

While Sean is the only child of John and Yoko, who were married for 13 years before John's death in 1980, he has a sister, Kyoko Chan Cox, from Yoko's second marriage to filmmaker Anthony Cox in 1963.

Sean also has a brother, Julian Charles John Lennon, from Lennon’s first marriage to Cynthia Lennon. The pair are close and continue to honor their father’s legacy to this day. They celebrated what would have been their father’s 80th birthday in 2020 with a special BBC Radio show.

Earlier on Sunday, Sean weighed in on the upcoming Beatles movies that Sam Mendes will be making — one for each of the band's members, John, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr — as he shared one of his dream casting scenarios.

"Well I'm hoping that Emma Stone might consider it," Sean told Variety when asked who should play his father, who died at age 40 in 1980.

He continued of why Stone, who is nominated for Best Actress at Sunday's Oscars, should be considered for the role: "Because she did such a good job in Poor Things and I think if you're going to reach like that as an actor, the next obvious step is to really go for it."

Sean also admitted that it'll be "very hard to cast" the film about his father, given how "famous" John was.
