Sean Lowe Is Begging ABC Not to Release His Season of 'The Bachelor' on Netflix

While the coronavirus pandemic has delayed production on The Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation need not worry: ABC has a plan for us. ABC executive Robert Mills and Bachelor host Chris Harrison are taking to Twitter to poll Bachelor Nation about which past Bachelor seasons they’d most like to rewatch (as well as ideas for some group streaming parties). Yes, that’s right: more past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons may soon be streaming on Netflix to get us through this quarantine. Praise be.

But while fans are obviously excited at the prospect (hi), some past Bachelor stars — like Sean Lowe — are all but begging ABC not to stream their season (reminder: Peter Weber’s season is still up in full on Hulu). The fun all began on Twitter, where Harrison asked fans to weigh in on which seasons they’re eager to have streaming.

“If you could see prior seasons what would you want to see?” Harrison wrote. “Clare’s season with Juan Pablo? Start at the beginning? Trista’s Bachelorette? Weigh in give us your thoughts.”

“For the sake of my marriage, can I withdraw my season from consideration?” Lowe wrote back. “I don’t need my wife seeing that. Thanks in advance.”

Lowe was the Bachelor back in 2013, and proposed in the final episode to now-wife Catherine Giudici, with whom he shares three kids. But understandably, the family doesn’t need America watching back that time he dated 29 other women at the same time.

Other Bachelors, however, are ready to get in on the fun. “Another idea: if we don’t air on ABC but stream #TheBachelor/ette/Pad/Paradise somewhere would you be interested in picking a time to watch in unison and we all live tweet together #Bachelornation?” ABC executive Mills wrote on Twitter.

“Nothing would be more fun [than] to rip on me knowing its over,” past Bachelor Nick Viall wrote. And Molly Mesnick, whose husband former Bachelor Jason Mesnick’s season has already been streaming, is hoping to see more seasons hit Netflix too.

“Can’t wait for all these other Bachelor/Bachelorettes to feel the pain and embarrassment of reliving their season like Jason & I have w/ Netflix these past 4 months,” Molly added on Twitter. Given that Jason’s season ended with him proposing to Melissa Rycroft before realizing his mistake, we’re sure that’s awkward to playback.

Past Bachelor humiliations aside, we’re loving this idea to stream more old seasons while we’re stuck inside. Anyone else dying to rewatch Ben Higgins season? Or JoJo Fletcher? Just tweet at Chris Harrison and all that can be yours.
