Sean Hannity Hints at Slander, Defamation Lawsuits: ‘I Have a Massive Army’

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to Twitter on Sunday night to shoot down critics and even hint at a libel lawsuits against anyone accusing him of wrongdoing, writing, “I have a massive army.”

Hannity started off the barrage of tweets writing, “A lot of time with an army of attorneys. Topics include; libel, slander, defamation, tortious interference. Stay tuned.”

Hannity said his issue is “way way way bigger than any one individual,” when a follower suggested that if former Fox news guest Debbie Schlussel backs off, he should go after her attorney.

Schlussel claimed last month that Hannity pressured her to come to his hotel room during a radio interview with KFAQ radio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When asked if she had ever been sexually harassed at Fox News, Schlussel replied, “Only by Sean Hannity, not Bill O’Reilly … He tried to get me to go back to the hotel after the show.”

Schlussel says after she denied the invitation, she was “blacklisted” from the network by Hannity.

“My patience with this individual is over. I have retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country who are now in the process of laying out the legal course of action we will be taking against this individual,” Hannity told LawNewz in a statement about Schlussel.

It is unclear who exactly Hannity was referring to in the tweets, other than Schlussel, but he clearly thinks he has numerous enemies at the moment. He eventually tweeted, “Thank you all irredeemable deplorable friends. I’m shutting down. Don’t want to give more away than I should. A team is on this. Stay tuned.”

Hannity also denied the allegations by Schlussel last week.

“This individual has a history of making provably false statements against me in an effort to slander, smear and besmirch my reputation,” Hannity told NBC News. “The individual has not just slandered me over the years but many people who this individual disagrees with. This individual desperately seeks attention by any means necessary, including making unfounded personal attacks and using indefensible and outrageous political rhetoric.”

Last week, Hannity also took to twitter to bash reports that Fox News c0-president Bill Shine could be on his way out and even started a hashtag to support his colleague.
