On Hannity Monday night, Sean Hannity used his monologue to question whether or not the top Senate Republicans, MItch McConnell and John Thune, are loyal to the party and said it’s time for new leadership. Though neither McConnell nor Thune were among the seven Republican senators who voted to convict former President Donald Trump in the impeachment trial, both have been vocal in their condemnation of him following the deadly insurrection at the Capitol on January 6. McConnell took his condemnation a step further just moments after voting to acquit Trump when he took to the Senate floor and said that Trump actually was responsible for the insurrection.

Hannity questioned why McConnell hasn’t given a similar speech condemning Democrats for something they haven’t actually done, then called for McConnell and Thune to be replaced.

“When is he going to give a speech on the senate floor and hold those Democrats accountable for their incitement of insurrection and their insurrection-like language?” Hannity asked. “The time is now coming for new leadership in the U.S. Senate.”
