Sean Hannity Blasts His CBS Interview With Ted Koppel as ‘Fake Edited News’
Sean Hannity took to Twitter to fire back at a segment on “CBS Sunday Morning,” in which veteran TV journalist Ted Koppel told the Fox News host that he is “bad for America.” Hannity blasted the interview that ran as “fake ‘edited’ news.”
The Fox News host accused CBS of cutting out footage of him listing examples of media bias to back up his argument that “journalism is dead.”
Fake "edited" news. I did about a 45 minute interview with CBS. They ran less than 2. Why did Ted cut out my many examples of media bias? https://t.co/prynzE2yLQ

Fake "edited" news. I gave a example after example of why I say "journalism is dead". I also gave many examples of how liberalism has failed https://t.co/prynzE2yLQ

If you pay attention Ted was saying ALL opinion shows are bad for America. But he was saying this while giving us HIS OPINION #hypocrisy https://t.co/53Yn4bxbSw

As for what made the segment: Koppel analyzed the media’s role in the political divide in Trump-era America, with Hannity asking, “You’re cynical. … You think we’re bad for America? You think I’m bad for America?”
“Yep,” Koppel replied. “In the long haul, I think that all these opinion shows…”
“Really?” Hannity said. “That’s sad, Ted.”
Koppel explained: “You know why? Because you’re very good at what you did and because you have attracted … people who have determined that ideology is more important than facts.”
Hannity teased that on Monday’s episode of “Hannity,” he’ll respond to the situation.
“I should thank @CBSNews for providing me the opportunity to unmask ‘The Anatomy of Edited Fake News!’,” he tweeted. “Stay tuned.”
