Seahawks Russell Wilson identifies Cowboys as 1 of 4 teams he’d accept a trade to

The NFL offseason is looking more like the NBA every day with the player empowerment era creeping towards the gridiron. Its most recent form has taken the shape of quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. There’s been rumblings of a divide there since the off-season began but an article released today on the Athletic may have set the kindling ablaze.

If that wasn’t hot enough, ESPN insider Adam Schefter has thrown gasoline on the fire by throwing out just four teams that Wilson would willingly accept a trade to. It’s hard to believe this, but one of those teams is the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s unlikely that Wilson will leave the Pacific Northwest, but a move to Dallas seems even more so. The reason for that is twofold. The first part is simple, it’s cost prohibitive. Acquiring Wilson will cost any team that’s willing to do business with Seattle an arm and a leg. The Cowboys don’t have the kind of draft capital they would likely expect in return.

The second part of why Wilson won’t end up in Dallas? Dak Prescott. He is the quarterback of America’s Team moving forward.
