Seacrets' big bash highlight of stacked week in Ocean City
In Ocean City, the Seacrets complex is ready to rock — and how. This year’s edition of the Ocean 98 & Seacrets Listener & Appreciation Christmas Party kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15. It will feature a mix of reggae, acoustic music and full-on rock acts.
Performers include Nelly’s Echo, Ted Bowne of Passfire, Howi Spangler from Ballyhoo, No Right Way The Rogue Citizens and headliner Love Seed Mama Jump. Admission is free, but patrons are asked to bring a new, unwrapped gift for the Toys For Tots charity.
Elsewhere in Ocean City, Tailchasers Restaurant & Dock Bar will host its Fishy Features Comedy Show this weekend. Funny men Tyler Dark, John Dayton and Stevie Jay will be showcased starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 ($15).
Last but not least in OC, the Ocean City Performing Arts Center has an international touring production on tap. "On Your Feet: The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan" is set for 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 ($55 to $75).
Jimmie Allen holiday show still has tickets available
In Dewey Beach, homegrown country star Jimmie Allen will play his annual pair of holiday charity concerts this weekend, both of which will benefit the Sussex Consortium. Tickets are sold out for an all-ages show at the Rusty Rudder on Friday, Dec. 15. However, tickets are still available for Allen’s 21-and-up appearance at the nearby Bottle & Cork nightclub at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 ($60).

The Cork and the Rudder both continue to announce concerts for their respective locations next spring and summer. All 1,200 tickets sold out the very first day for the Cork’s Sunday, Aug. 11, appearance by national emo-rock quartet Taking Back Sunday.
Yes, a party in Dewey that's all about one Taylor Swift
The Cork still has tickets available for The Taylor Party, which will be held there at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 31 ($25). The touring DJ dance bash is dedicated to the music and style of Taylor Swift.
The Taylor Party will already have made a Dewey stop to entertain a packed house at the Rudder this winter; tickets are sold out for that one on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Also in Dewey, a mere 51 tickets remain for next month’s Safari Soiree Winter Gala. The annual, semi-formal shindig will be held inside the Lighthouse Cove Event Center at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 ($99). It will feature music from both the Blue Cat Blues Band (8 to 9:30 p.m.) and Royals (10 p.m. to midnight).
