That Scumbag Lawyer's Racist Rant Is Costing Him

In what has become just another day here in post-apocalyptic America, a man was caught on video Tuesday unleashing a racist tirade inside of Fresh Kitchen, a fast casual restaurant in Midtown, Manhattan. His reason? Two customers had the audacity to speak Spanish to an employee who also spoke Spanish, ruining this patriot's ability to enjoy the eatery's menu options, such as pho, tacos, and quesadillas, in a city where more than 200 languages are spoken.

As expected, the internet did its thing.

The man, who threatened to "call ICE," was quickly identified as Aaron Schlossberg, a New York City-based lawyer whose website claims to offer services in five languages, including Spanish.

For a guy who had a lot to say in the presence of kale and employees in Kelly green shirts, Schlossberg was relatively tight-lipped when the New York Post went to his home to confront him about his comments.

This doesn't appear to be the attorney's first rodeo. Video has since surfaced of him calling one man an "ugly fucking foreigner" in October 2016 (it was a white guy from Massachusetts), and another one of him calling Haredi Jewish people "fake Jews" (Schlossberg validated his own credentials with a claim he's been to Israel twice). On those occasions, he seemingly managed to slip by anonymously. Not anymore.

And in what's probably the least surprising layer of this shit onion, Forward.com reported he also donated $500 to the Trump campaign. Just yesterday, on the same day that Schlossberg went viral, our president called deported immigrants "animals"; this just a week after his chief of staff said immigrants "don't have skills" and don't "integrate well." If nothing else, at least Schlossberg is consistent.

That consistency, however, might cost him. The New York Times reported Thursday that two elected officials-Representative Adriano Espaillat and Bronx borough president Ruben Diaz Jr.-have filed an official grievance against Schlossberg. While they don't seek to have him disbarred, the effect of the attorney's viral rant is clearly just beginning. So far, the hoards have came for his law firm on Yelp. On Google Reviews. On Facebook. At the rate he's going, he might want to start seeking some legal advice of his own.
