Ghostface hasn't called Jasmin Savoy Brown about another Scream yet.

The 29-year-old actress, who previously appeared as Mindy Meeks-Martin in Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023), opened up about what her future as the character looks like in an interview with Entertainment Tonight following the Emmy Awards 2024 on Monday.

"I haven't gotten a call," Brown said with a shrug when asked about what she'd say if asked back to the franchise for the next installment. "If you want to ask Spyglass what they’re doing, you can."

Her answer comes after it was revealed that neither Melissa Barrera nor Jenna Ortega, two of Brown's costars in the previously noted films, will appear in the upcoming Scream VII.

In the franchise, the pair played sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter, whose familial connection to original 1996 Scream co-villain Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) makes them targets for new serial killers.

Barrera, 33, was fired from Scream VII due to posts she shared on social media last fall regarding the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Spyglass, the studio behind the recent sequels, said in a statement at the time that it held "zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form."

The actress said in a statement after that she was using her social-media platform "to raise awareness about issues I care about and to lend my voice to those in need."

Barrera also added, "First and foremost I condemn Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I condemn hate and prejudice of any kind against any group of people."

News broke the following day that Ortega, 21, had also left the project, though her departure was reportedly not connected to Barrera's exit.

Then, in December, Christopher Landon, who had been named Scream VI's director in August, announced he dropped out of the film. The filmmaker referred to the project as "a dream job that turned into a nightmare."

Despite their exits from the next film, both Ortega and Barrera recently reunited with several of their Scream castmates at the Motion Picture & Television Fund's The Evening Before gala.

On Sunday, Barrera shared photos of herself, Ortega, Brown and Ulrich, 53, at the event, posing alongside Mason GoodingLiana LiberatoTony Revolori and Jack Quaid.

"Yeah 😍," Barrera wrote in a caption to her post. Ulrich commented, "Sweet reunion!!" while Quaid, 31, chimed in with a "HELL yeah" to accentuate Barrera's caption. "I just love ya," Gooding, 27, wrote in a comment, while Liberato, 28, remarked, "Oooooh yeah."

In her interview with ET on Monday, Brown said the meetup was "so random and fun," as they "didn't plan it" ahead of time.

"Jenna's my heart and soul — I'll protect her forever. I love her," added the Yellowjackets actress. "I love Melissa, I love Jack, I love Mason. It just made me happy! It was just fun to see them."
