Created by Attica Locke and Tembi Locke from the latter’s memoir of the same name, From Scratch is a romance drama series. The plot revolves around an aspiring writer and a Sicilian chef as they fall in love in Florence. Life continues, and relationship changes for the better. However, tragedy soon knocks on the door. The series premiered on Netflix on October 21, 2022. However, fans have been speculating about the release of season 2, and the rumors have now been addressed.

There is no From Scratch Season 2 release date, as the show was developed as a miniseries.
According to multiple reports, the eight-part show is a miniseries. Speaking to Today at the Netflix and Elle Latinas in Hollywood luncheon in October 2022, Saldaña reflected on how different her experience was working on this project from the franchises she has been part of. “The last nine years of my career, I feel like I’ve been having babies, raising my beautiful boys, and just doing a lot of franchises,” the actress said. “And even though I’m very happy, so proud to be in space, I love science fiction, in the last couple of years, there was this growing desire to explore other territories.”
Moreover, There is no sequel to Tembi Locke’s memoir as of mid-October 2023, though, as she and her sisters are the creators of the series, they can always skip the publication part and proceed directly to production. After all, Attica originally pitched the series when the book was still a manuscript. If season 2 is ever greenlit, it might be a while before it releases.
