Keyshia Cole is definitely a lover, but a liar? She is not.

After being called out by Scrappy, who feels her new relationship with rapper Hunxho is a publicity stunt, Cole put her naysayer on blast.

In response to Scrap‘s commentary, one fan tweeted, “You not a true Keyshia Cole fan if you think she would be paid to have a relationship with anyone..you couldn’t pay her to be fake. The blogs lying again.” Cole replied, “And what hurts the most is SCRAPPY SAYING THAT S**T! Naw nicca u get paid to (Fake a relationship) like U SAID. Like what are they even talking about. Tryna get clicks. Hopefully this helps.”

She also co-signed a sentiment about her sun sign, Libra, that read, “Libras do not fake love like etc. Not in us; we go to war for Love if we have to.”

When asked by another fan why the rapper’s sentiments hurt, the “Heaven Sent” singer responded, “Cause my momma was cool with his momma. It’s always been love, but for him to allow such craziness..is beyond me. People be weird.”

Scrappy has not responded to Cole’s statement, but his initial comments came after his appearance on the BagFuel podcast. The men were discussing Druski’s new relationship with Rubi Rose. They were torn on whether or not the romance was real or fake and mentioned that it could be a “paid” relationship.

To which Scrappy quipped, “So, that’s Keyshia Cole and Hunxho.” One host chimed in, “Keyshia Cole probably did pay Hunxho” while another stated that his label “probably paid” her.

The rapper allegedly participated in a publicity stunt of his own back in the day, but didn’t state her name—claiming he “forgot” who she was.

After sparking dating rumors following a nightclub appearance in early April, Cole seemingly confirmed their relationship a week later. On X, she tweeted, “@hunxho mine.” Her man replied with a red heart emoji.

However, this spat with Scrappy isn’t the first time Cole has had to defend their relationship. Due to their 18-year age gap, some revealed their desire for her to wind up heartbroken. One wrote, “N***A USED A FAKE A** HEART. @KeyshiaCole STAND THE HELL UP SISTA PLEASEEEEEE!!!!” To which she replied, “BLOCKED.” Y’all better leave this Oakland-bred lover girl alone.
