Scott Weiland's Widow Denied in Attempt to Get Money From His Estate

The widow of rocker Scott Weiland came up empty in her effort to collect on money she claimed to be owed after the Stone Temple Pilots singer passed away.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jamie Weiland's creditor's claim for $64,406 against the estate was denied. She initially filed the request way back in March of 2016.

Jamie Weiland claimed that her prenup with Scott Weiland called for him to put $2,000 in an account every month while they were married. The payments would continue until one of them filed for divorce, and then she would collect the money.

She also claimed that agreement called for a 7% increase in the payments every year.

According to Mary Weiland, Scott made the deposits for the first two months of their marriage and then never again. She claimed he owed her payments from September 1, 2013 through December 3, 2015, the day he died.

Weiland calculated that between the missed payments, the yearly increases, and interest, she was owed $64,406.18.

Mary Weiland, Scott's first wife who is also the head of the estate, had previously argued that Jamie did not file the paperwork properly and her claim had since lapsed.

Last year, Mary had filed a creditor's claim of her own, asking for child support for the former couple's two children. A judge ultimately agreed and ordered the estate to pay her $4,000 a month.

Mary filed court documents last month giving the state of affairs of the estate since he died on December 3, 2015.

In her filing, Mary stated the current estimated value of the estate is $1,979,261.56. She says the estate has taken in $1,054,385.70 in gross royalties so far, for an estimated average annual income of $351,462.

She also says the estate has nearly half a million dollars in cash on hand.
