Variety will host its annual Business Managers Breakfast, presented by City National Bank on Nov. 8 in Los Angeles. The program will feature keynote conversations with Wayne Brady and Scott Stuber and a presentation of the Variety Business Manager Elite Award to Carrie Malcolm, founding partner, CRM Management, a division of NKSFB.

Stuber, chairman of Netflix Film, will talk about the company’s standout film slate this season, including buzzed-about titles “May December,” “Maestro,” “Rustin,” “Fair Play,” “Nyad,” “Leave the World Behind,” “The Killer,” “American Symphony,” “Leo” and “Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire” with Brent Lang, executive editor at Variety.

Brady, a five-time Emmy winner, Grammy-nominated recording artist writer and producer will discuss the mission of A Wayne and Mandie Creative, the production company he jointly runs with Mandie Taketa. Upcoming projects include a docuseries following his blended family, airing on Hulu in 2024, his highly anticipated return to Broadway in “The Wiz,” a new season of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and freestyle+, an educational training platform committed to making improv globally accessible.

Malcolm is being honored for her extensive philanthropic service, including serving on the boards of the New York Women’s Foundation, Atlantic Foundation, Living Arts International (formerly Cambodian Living Arts) and the Alex Fund. She was a founding board member of Eyebeam Center for Art & Technology.

The Business Managers Breakfast will be attended by those profiled in the Variety Business Managers Elite feature, celebrating the achievements of entertainment business managers over the past year.

JaHan Wang, executive vice president of entertainment banking at City National Bank, will give opening remarks at the event.

“City National Bank is about to enter its 70th year serving the entertainment industry and we are happy to join Variety to honor some of our closest business manager friends and clients,” said Wang. “On behalf of City National, I would also like to offer a special congratulations to Variety Business Managers Elite Award honoree, Carrie Malcolm.”
