Scott Marshall Dies: ‘Ink Master’ Season 4 Winner Was 41

Scott Marshall, the Season 4 winner of Spike’s tattoo competition series Ink Master, died over the weekend. He was 41. The cause of death is not yet known.

Spike expressed its condolences in a statement to Deadline. “Spike and entire Ink Master family are stunned and saddened by the news of Scott’s passing. He was a great competitor and talented artist. Our deepest condolences go out to the Marshall family and friends.”

Ink Master host Dave Navarro also paid tribute to Marshall on Twitter.

Scott won the $100,000 grand prize on the Season 4 finale of Ink Master in 2014, surpassing fellow tattoo artists Walter “Sausage” Frank and Matti Hixson. He was featured in Inked magazine for his win. Spike recently renewed the hit tattoo competition series for an eighth season.
