ScHoolboy Q has finally – and cryptically – shared a release date and track list for his long-awaited sixth album. Per a trailer and countdown on his website, the album, named Blue Lips, will drop at midnight on March 1.

The trailer embedded on the site via YouTube is set on what looks like a film or television a studio lot, where golf carts, trucks, tents, and workers align towards a large white screen with the track list written across it in the rapper’s signature handwriting. Titles include “Cooties,” “Love Birds,” and “Pigs Feet.” There are 17 songs total. No features or collaborations are listed.

ScHoolboy Q rounded out prolific California rap label Top Dawg Entertainment’s early roster of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul around 2008 (acts like SZA, Isaiah Rashad, SiR , and Doechii would follow). He was a blog-era favorite who achieved a mainstream breakthrough in 2013 with the release of the single “Collard Greens” and his Interscope debut Oxymoron. His last album, Crash Talk, came out nearly five years ago, featuring acts like Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby and landing at Number Three on the Billboard 200 upon arrival.

His last solo single, “Soccer Dad,” a Rolling Stone Song You Need to Know, dropped in April 2022.
