‘Schitt’s Creek’ Paddles Back For Season 3 In January On Pop

The new year will bring a new season of Schitt’s Creek on Pop. The cable net owned by CBS Corp and Lionsgate said today that the continuing comedic adventures of the Rose family will start at 8 PM January 11. The Canadian scripted comedy stars SCTV alums Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara along with Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy.

Pop said that Season 3 will find the Roses at a crossroads between longing for the life of extreme wealth and extravagance they left behind and embracing the ho-hum, make-shift but lovable town they’ve reluctantly come to call home. While Johnny (Eugene Levy) continues to explore business opportunities that could help his family’s plight, Moira (O’Hara) finds herself faced with difficulties while on Town Council. Their adult children Alexis (Murphy) and David (Daniel Levy) both realize their love lives are extremely complicated, neither one being able to fully break away from former relationships. While the Roses still hold out hope of returning to the lap of luxury, they continue to move forward with caviar dreams on a beer budget, realizing with each passing day that Schitt’s Creek may be the best place for them after all. Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire and Jennifer Robertson also are series regulars.

Schitt’s Creek is commissioned by CBC, produced by Not a Real Company Productions and created by Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy, who executive producers along with Andrew Barnsley, Kevin White, Fred Levy and Ben Feigin.
