Night Terrors Victorian Horrors at Rosemount Museum

419 W. 1th St. | 6-9 p.m. | The Artists Anonymous Halloween event features four hair-raising tales for fans of the macabre. Slip from room to room hearing each frightful tale portrayed by Colorado actors Sallie Walker, Celia Royal and Emma Ackerman. Cost is $15 for members or children or $18 for adults. Storymode Independent Short Film Awards Festival at Rawlings Library

100 E. Abriendo | 6:30 p.m. | The event kicks off with a scavenger hunt, a short films showcase and a Colorado films showcase. Festivities continue at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, with an independent film industry panel, and the 2 p.m. screening of Jerod Young's "Europe 2022" documentary. The festival's main event is set for 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at CSU Pueblo's Hoag Hall with red carpet photos and pre-show DJ starting at 6 p.m. The evening will transport the audience with music and colorful lights as part of the live stage show. The audience participates in digital voting and interactive audience segments. Cost is $12 and tickets are on sale at sisfafest.com.

131 Spring St. | Doors open at 7 p.m. | Rodney Hazard, an electronic musician from New York City, will stop in Pueblo for “The Man from Nowhere, Everywhere” USA Tour. The tour promotes his latest EP, “Which Way to Paradise?” Fans of Flying Lotus, Balam Acab and Clams Casino will enjoy Hazard's music. Cost is $10 at the door.

"Song of Pueblo" at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open at 1 p.m., show at 2 p.m. | The El Pueblo Ensemble and the University of Colorado Boulder Chamber Orchestra will present the first-ever full-orchestra live performance of Daniel Valdez’s “Song of Pueblo”. The free concert is a musical journey of Pueblo's cultural history composed by Valdez, who is a film director and composer best known for his work on the films "La Bamba" and “Zoot Suit” and for his 1987 Grammy-winning collaboration with Linda Ronstadt, “Canciones de mi Padre — Songs of my Father.” Valdez will be present for the performance.

"Spud-raiser" at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

3455 Nuckolls Ave. | 2-6 p.m. Friday for members only and again from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, for the public | Visitors should dress in costume for the Halloween event which features trick-or-treat stations, candy, a scavenger hunt, plus spooky crafts and games. Teal pumpkins will contain allergen-free treats. For the safety of others, fully covered adult masks or heavy makeup, balloons, weapons and weapon-like items such as hatchets, baseball bats, or swords are prohibited. A Crash Course in Hollywood and Horror at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe Ave. | 6-9:30 p.m. | The event will include a big screen viewing of the 1968 horror cult classic, “Night of the Living Dead,” directed by the late George A. Romero. Participants should come dressed in costume, participate in mobile horror trivia and visit the cash bar. The film will be followed by an analysis of the movie and Romero’s use of horror as social commentary. Admission is $8 for students, $10 for members, and $12 for nonmembers. Those who pay cash get a $1 discount. No Halloween masks, large bags, or prop weapons will be allowed.

419 W. 14th St. | 11 a.m. until the candy runs out or 2 p.m. | Visitors walk through the mansion at their own pace on a self-guided tour. Children will receive a trick-or-treat bag and will get treats and prizes as they make their way through the many rooms in the mansion. A costume contest will be held and prizes will be awarded in four age categories including ages 2-5, 6–12, 13-18 and family. Admission is $3 for children 3 and older.

Bestselling author talk at Rawlings Public Library

100 E. Abriendo Ave. | 11 a.m. | New York Times bestselling author Shelby Van Pelt, author of the “Remarkably Bright Creatures” will talk about her debut novel. It follows the intertwined lives of Tova, a widowed cleaner at the local aquarium, and one of the aquarium’s residents, a curmudgeonly giant Pacific octopus named Marcellus. This unlikely friendship ultimately helps Tova to uncover a 30-year-old family mystery. The event is free and open to the public.
