Scarlett Suffers Terrible Tragedy on 'Nashville'

It was heartbreaking news on Nashville when Scarlett suffered a miscarriage. The tragedy took place the morning after her and her on-again, off-again lover Gunnar were mugged. While the incidents seemed linked, the doctor said, "It must have been awful but it wouldn't affect your pregnancy." The doctor went on to say, "It's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause, often it's a chromosomal problem...But I can tell you, it's not because of anything you did or didn't do." Riddled with guilt, Gunnar refused to listen to the doctor. Instead the musician drove around looking for the kid who assaulted them. When he finally found the kid he let him go after just a few punches because he realized it wasn't going to help. And as if their lives couldn't get any more complicated, the miscarriage forced Scarlett to reevaluate their relationship. She decided they weren't working out. And even though it broke Gunnar's heart, she said she needed to take a break.
