At the end of her opening monologue on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, Scarlett Johansson planted a surprise kiss on fiance Colin Jost. In fact, as she headed to the afterparty following the episode, fans of the couple got a good look at her engagement ring.

The "Marriage Story" actress was in a casual look for the party, rocking Converse sneakers, wide-legged plaid trousers, and a black pea coat. It was a great look for a late night out in New York.

She coupled her ensemble with loose, curly hair, and smoky eye makeup. Of course, it was hard to focus on any of her features while she was wearing her enormous engagement ring. Jost and Johansson were engaged in May, when Colin popped the question after two years of dating.

According to Town & Country, the ring cost somewhere between $350,000 and $400,000, and comes in at a stunning 11 carats. It's set in a unique dark copper band, and it's widely believed to be the work of a famous designer.

James de Givenchy, the owner of the New York-based jewelry company Taffin, reportedly designed the ring. During an interview on Ellen, Johansson offered some detail as to how Jost chose to propose.

"It was surprising, he’s got a lot behind that news desk he’s hiding," she spilled, referencing his desk from SNL's "Weekend Update," which he co-hosts. "He’s very charming and thoughtful and romantic." During her opening monologue for her hosting stint on the show this weekend, she thanked the show for introducing her to "the love of her life."

The two have worked together on "Saturday Night Live" for years, dating back to her first-ever hosting gig in 2006. At that time, Jost was just a writer on the show, and the two didn't start dating until after she hosted for the fifth time in March of 2017.

Rumors of romance started flying when the two were spotted hooking up at the afterparty for that episode, and they made their public debut later that year, confirming that the rumors were true.

Prior to her engagement to Jost, Johansson had been married twice before. First, she was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, and she was married to Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2016. Romain and Scarlett also have a daughter together.

When you're as famous as Johansson, your romantic life can be the subject of plenty of speculation. Let's hope that this time, her relationship with Jost is private enough that it can last for years and years to come.
