Scarlett Johansson Says Making Avengers Was 'Life Changing': 'It's Been an Incredible Journey'

With Avengers: Endgame almost here, the cast of the juggernaut Marvel Universe are feeling emotional in what could be their final film all together.

At the Endgame Los Angeles premiere Monday night, the cast took the stage, and Scarlett Johansson had some powerful words about her experience playing Black Widow.

“I don’t know what to say, I’m extremely overwhelmed,” Johansson, 34, told the crowd. “Thank you so much for this past decade of time’s been absolutely life changing.”

Johansson followed previous speeches by directors Anthony and Joe Russo, as well as fellow Avengers Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, and Robert Downey Jr.

She continued her emotional speech, saying, “It’s been such a pleasure to come to work everyday, I feel incredibly fortunate to be with such a beautiful cast of creative people, open minded people, and it’s been an incredible journey. Impossible to put into words, thank you so much.”

The actress attended the Monday night premiere with her beau Colin Jost, and the two glowed while on the red carpet, with the Marvel hero stunning onlookers with a silver strapless dress.

Johansson has played Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow since Iron Man 2 in 2010, and has reprised her role in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, being one of the surviving Avengers after the events of Infinity War.

She’ll next appear as Black Widow in the character’s first solo movie, rumored to begin filming this year.

Avengers: Endgame is out in theaters Friday.
