Scarlett Johansson may be head over heels for fiancé Colin Jost, but she made it clear to Jimmy Fallon that she still has a say in his bachelor party plans. In fact, Johansson seems a little worried about Jost’s bachelor party — just maybe not for the reason you’d think.
According to Fallon, who hosted the Black Widow star on The Tonight Show last night, comedian Michael Che wants to host Jost’s bachelor party. Che and Jost were recently on Fallon’s show together, and Che pitched the idea. Johansson’s reaction is immediate (and hilarious).

“Oh no. I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Johansson tells Fallon quickly, shaking her head.
“Really? You won’t let him do it?” Fallon pushes. “He says if Colin throws it, it’s going to be during the day and boring.”
“But I feel like if he throws it, it’s going to be, like, by the Port Authority,” Johansson counters. “It’s going to be very local. I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Faced with more pushback from Fallon, Johansson throws her hands up in frustration: “Michael’s not throwing it! He’s not. Is this a thing now? Michael…I know where you work,” she jokingly threatens. Look out, Che — Johansson’s on your trail.
While Johansson’s facing wedding bells in real life, her onscreen life has been a bit less merry. Upcoming film Marriage Story (also starring Adam Driver), is a story about divorce. Not exactly optimal fare for the newly engaged, but Johansson found a positive side to exploring these characters.
“There’s a lot of love in this movie,” she tells Fallon. “What remains between these two characters is a lot of love. It’s very touching.” While marriage is known to bring people together, divorce is so ubiquitous nowadays that it has a similar effect.
“People have an experience when they watch it,” Johansson says about the film. “If you haven’t gone through a divorce — lucky you — either your parents have or you know someone…I’m really proud of it. We did a lot of really hard work on it.”
Marriage Story comes out in theaters on December 6, 2019. As for Johansson and Jost’s wedding? We’re still waiting for our invitation.
