Scarface recently recalled an instance in which Tupac Shakur pulled a prank on him by impersonating a cop during Face’s first-ever visit to Los Angeles.

During a stop on the rapper’s Behind the Desk Experience tour, Face paused his set after performing his 1997 release “Mary Jane” to touch on Pac’s lighthearted prank, which he says occurred while he was high on marijuana.

“First time I got to California, I’m in LA, smoking LA weed. We ain’t ever had no sh*t like this before,” the Houston native recalled. “I’m living in Burbank and recording the Untouchable album. It’s my first time getting high with some LA chronic.”

Unbeknownst to Scarface, Shakur decided to pay him an impromptu visit, arriving at his location unannounced and giving him a scare by pretending to be a police officer looking to apprehend the Geto Boys member.

“My homeboy pull up on me man; he got a black Hummer with a f**king siren and loudspeaker on it,” the 53-year-old said of Pac. “I’m in my apartment in Burbank high as f**k for the first time ever, and they come up and they go, ‘Brad Jordan, we know you’re in there, come out with your hands up.’”

Admittedly spooked by the prospect of being a target of the law, Face says he immediately sobered up and was prepared to surrender. “I’m on the couch like this, and my motherf**king high [goes away]. He just blew my f**king high, man.”

The legendary lyricist says despite being unnerved, Pac wanted him to go work on a collabration together. However, he was skeptical of the late rap stars driving skills, refusing to travel to the studio in his Pac’s vehicle.

“And he wanted to go to the studio and record, right? He wanted me to ride in this Hummer with him. I’m not going anywhere with him because he does not have a driver’s license. And he can’t drive at all,” Face told the audience.

As he began a performance of he and 2Pac’s classic collaboration “Smile,” Face concluded his story on a heartfelt, yet sobering note. “It’s gonna be some stuff you gonna see that’s gonna make it hard for you to smile,” the southern rap pioneer said. “But I just want you to know, but through all that and the pain, you got to keep ya head up.”
