Scaramucci offers Hader tips after 'SNL' skewering

Despite a shortest-in-history 11-day tenure as White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci just received the “Saturday Night Live” treatment — and he had some notes for his impersonator.

Bill Hader, a former “SNL” cast member, appeared as Scaramucci on the “Weekend Update Summer Edition” spinoff Thursday. On Friday, Scaramucci promoted the performance, but not without advising Hader on his hair and wardrobe.

“You know how you miss me. I’m like human cocaine,” Hader as Scaramucci said. “You got a little bump of me, I made you feel excited, but I was out of your system too quick. And now that I’m gone, you’re all depressed and edgy, and you’re trying to figure out how to score some more Scara-mooch!”

“The Mooch has no regrets, baby!” he said later in the bit. “All I did was sell my company, miss the birth of my child and ruin my entire reputation, all to be king of idiot mountain for 11 days. The Mooch is loose!”

Indeed, Scaramucci’s short time in the White House was marred by drama both in the West Wing and in his personal life. After an explosive, profanity-laden interview with the New Yorker, he resigned as newly installed chief of staff John Kelly took office.

Hader’s wise guy impression is Scaramucci’s second memorialization: Mario Cantone played the New York financier turned erstwhile West Wing staffer on “The President Show.”

President Trump has had a mixed relationship with “SNL.” Though he hosted the show during the campaign, parodying Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” he later soured on its sketch comedy and Alec Baldwin’s impersonation of him.

“Just tried watching Saturday Night Live – unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad,” he wrote in December. “Saturday Night Live is the worst of NBC. Not funny, cast is terrible, always a complete hit job. Really bad television!” he exclaimed the following month.
