Ariana Madix, who has recently been at the center of a major cheating scandal on Vanderpump Rules, was a special guest on Tuesday’s Love Island, where she did not sugarcoat her advice about relationships.

In what has been dubbed Scandoval, it was revealed in March that Tom Sandoval, the longtime live-in boyfriend of Madix, had been having an affair with another Vanderpump cast member, Raquel Leviss.

The real-life drama between the couple of nine years played out on social media and later on the show’s reunion special, and it has struck a major chord with fans of the show and beyond, most of who have rallied around Madix and sympathized with her in the matter.

Love Island is a reality dating show that features a group of coeds — or islanders — living in isolation and forced to couple up for love, friendship or survival and to try and win $100,000. The show streams on Peacock, where you can also find the latest Vanderpump Rules episodes.

Madix, an admitted fan of Love Island, was brought in on Tuesday to plenty of fanfare, as multiple islanders professed their fandom for the reality star.

“She’s just an icon. You look up ‘bad bitch’ in the dictionary, you gonna see a picture of Ariana,” islander Hannah Wright said.

Madix was there to host a challenge called Mr. and Mrs., which she called her “favorite Love Island game.” And to help set it up, Madix dropped a few relationship pointers on the contestants.

“I can’t wait to see who’s been taking the time to get to know one another, because take it from me, it’s important to know who you’re dating or sharing a bed with,” Madix advised. “And if they’re not the one for you, trust me, it’s better to find out sooner rather than later.”

The statement was said with a not-so-subtle nod to her Scandoval experience, and the female contestants definitely enjoyed hearing it with comments like, “Well said, Ariana.”

Madix went on to host a fun and competitive game, ending her appearance with the harsh reminder that “someone will be dumped” soon, which quickly turned the islanders' smiles upside down.

“I think that’s my cue to go,” Madix said.

Her appearance and comments on Love Island were also a hit with viewers, and even prompted some fans to suggest that she should play a bigger role on the show.

But unfortunately for Love Island fans, Madix’s reality show schedule is already filling up, as she’ll be competing on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

Love Island airs Thursdays through Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Peacock.
