EXCLUSIVE: Scott Foley, the actor known for his work in film and television and on stage, who most recently starred in the Broadway production of The Thanksgiving Play, has signed with Independent Artist Group.

Perhaps best known for starring in Shonda Rhimes’ hit ABC series Scandal, and for his breakout performance opposite Keri Russell in The WB’s Felicity, Foley will next be seen on the Max political drama series The Girls on the Bus. He also memorably portrayed Sean Kelly, the affable one-time love interest of Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), on Bill Lawrence’s Scrubs, before reteaming with Lawrence as the producer and star of his ABC action dramedy Whiskey Cavalier.

Additional film credits include HBO’s True Blood, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, CBS’ The Unit, and NBC’s A.U.S.A., to name just a few.

Foley made his feature film debut in Wes Craven’s Scream 3 for Dimension Films, following that up with lead roles in Dimension Films’ Below opposite Matthew Davis and the indie Rennie’s Landing opposite Ethan Embry and Peter Facinelli. Other film credits include Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife, which Foley wrote, directed and produced, the TV movie Final Vision, and Netflix’s Naked.

The actor made his Broadway debut in The Violet Hour and was also seen starring in Donald Margulies’ The Country House at the Geffen Playhouse in 2014.

IAG has been on a signing spree of late, having also recently announced the signings of such in-demand actors as Sonequa Martin-Green and Sarah Shahi. Other big names to have come to the agency in the past year including Regina Hall, Ken Jeong, William H. Macy, Nathalie Emmanuel, and John Cusack, as well as the music stars they brought in with the merger with AGI including Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Metallica, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Neil Young and Norah Jones.

Foley continues to be represented by Atlas Entertainment, Vision PR and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
