‘Scandal’ Recap: Abby’s Road to Betrayal Riddled With Bullets
There were a lot of questions after last week’s episode of Scandal, which ended with Huck being shot and bleeding out on the floor. The biggest question was: What was Abby’s involvement? When we saw Abby last, she was powwowing with Huck’s — we’re assuming — now ex-girlfriend and Ms. Ruland (if that is your real name).
Well, this week’s episode took us back over the past few months, through Abby’s point of view. It all started with Abby sitting down with the people that have been forcing Rowan’s hand lately, as they offered her $300 million to start her own journey toward being president. They were basically paying for her to be their puppet, as they pulled her strings throughout the episode. They forced her to go to the hospital the night President-elect Vargas was shot and snag the bullets from his body to swap them with some decoys.
When Abby found out they framed Cyrus, she was done playing their games. Right when she thought she was out of options, Huck told her about Jennifer Fields being alive. Abby then used that info as a bargaining chip to get them to release Cyrus.
We still don’t know the fate of Huck, but judging by the teaser for next week’s episode, he’s got a rough road ahead of him.
