Halloween weekend was in full swing over the last few days, and many celebrities took the time to show off their creative spirit. Year after year, Saweetie has delivered some impressive looks for the spooky holiday. On Sunday (Oct. 29), the Bay Area rapper debuted her first costume of Halloween 2023 as she stepped out as Edward Scissorhands.

The elaborate look was a perfect match for the “My Type” artist, thanks to the main accessory: her long and crazy nails. The artistic, custom claws were paired with a grungy black leather look, complete with silver chains and cut outs. Her makeup consisted of a pale face and deep red lips, matched with messy black hair.

The 30-year-old spitter has always rocked her signature acrylic nails, which are often long and bedazzled with intricate designs. Fans were convinced the costume was centered around her nail game, as one of the top comments on her Instagram post reads, “She saw y’all talking about how her nails reminds y’all of Edward Scissorhands and dressed as him for Halloween. Love it.” Saweetie captioned her photos with sass, writing, “are these long enough for u.”

In related news, this isn’t the first time Saweetie’s insane nail game has garnered attention. Last month, one of her custom sets, created by nail artist Temeka Jackson, was put on display at the Grammy Museum. The installation included a collection of items that honored Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary.

The rapper commemorated the special moment on Instagram by typing, “My nails made it to the Grammy museum ? !!!! we did that @customtnails1 ????????? & thank you @recordingacademy for having us a part of Hip-Hop history ?????? IKDR !!!!!!”
